Wild About You will return to London.

The musical previously enjoyed a series of concerts at Theatre Royal Drury Lane and will now have its first full run at Charing Cross Theatre.

With a book by Dani Stoller and music and lyrics by Chilina Kennedy, it follows Billy on the day of his high school graduation party, when he finds a trunk of letters written to him by his late mother. A recording is available to listen to.

The creative team also includes director Kristin Hanggi, music supervisor, music director, orchestrator and arranger Daniel Edmonds, producer Brian Spector and associate producer Caitlin McNeilage, with more to be confirmed.

Spector said that the production has a “freshly updated story”, which “strikes a rich thematic balance of romance and cheeky humour, but is also deeply human and heartfelt.” Adding: “It’s the kind of show that is both entertaining and authentic – exactly what audiences crave.”

Presented by Keaka Productions LLC and Charing Cross Productions with Eric McCormack, Michael Scott and Second Set LLC, Wild About You will play at the Charing Cross Theatre from 18 January to 10 April 2027, with a national press night on 26 January.

Full casting and creative team to be announced in due course.
