We go backstage with ”The Rise and Fall of Little Voice” actress
Charlotte Gorton is currently starring as Mari Hoff in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice at the Union Theatre. Her previous stage credits include Memphis (Shaftesbury Theatre) and Viva Forever (Piccadilly Theatre).
We caught up with Charlotte to find out which items she couldn't live without.
CG: It's fairly basic at The Union. However it lends itself to the incredibly intimate nature of the space. I'm calling it 'Shabby Chic!'
CG: My dressing room space at The Union. I'm fairly ordered… espcially with my makeup (read obsessional!)
CG: My make-up box my father made me for my first West End show. Each drawer is a different type of wood. It's one of my most treasured possessions and goes to every theatre with me.
CG: I met a fantastic young boy, Jake, pictured, whilst doing Memphis and at the end of the run he gave me a doll resplendent in my costume, wig and accessories! I adore it and him! Also in the little blue china pill pot I keep my 'show' wedding ring, if ever I'm playing married and small keepsakes from other shows (badges, pins etc). Of course I have Manuka honey, and finally what every dressing room should have for after the show, bubbles!!!
The Rise and Fall of Little Voice runs at the Union Theatre until 26 June.
