West End stars confirmed for Sondheim candlelit concert

Colour & Light, a candlelit concert celebrating the music of Stephen Sondheim, will take place next month.

The concert will feature Jak Malone, David Bedella, Stewart Clarke, Clare Foster and Lucy Schaufer, alongside Alfie Friedman, Georgie Lagden and Chad St Louis. They will be joined by a company of 14 emerging performers.

Marking five years since Sondheim’s death, the concert will celebrate his music, lyrics and storytelling, with a focus on the voice. The programme will feature arrangements by Jason Carr, a Tony and Olivier Award nominee and Sondheim orchestrator, accompanied by piano, strings and woodwind.

Co-produced by the Stephen Sondheim Society, it will play with dimmed lighting at St James’ Piccadilly in London’s West End at 7.30pm on Saturday 21 November 2026.
