The event in aid of Help for Heroes returned to the Dominion Theatre on Sunday
The newly refurbished Dominion Theatre once again played host to West End Heroes on Sunday, uniting the country’s top military musicians with West End performers and productions in a showcase of musical numbers, mash-ups, choreography and precision drilling.
The sold out event hosted by Michael Ball, who performed songs from Chess, Les Misérables and Aspects of Love, aimed to raise more than £100,000 for charity 'Help for Heroes'.
Performances on the night included Hugh Maynard and the cast of Miss Saigon, the cast of Evita, Wendi Peters, Louise Dearman, Daniel Boys, Lauren Samuels and Carrie Hope Fletcher. Dancer Freddie Huddlestone wowed the crowd as he climbed the side of the Dominion Theatre stage before proceeding to tap dance – upside down – across the ceiling and back down the other side of the stage.
Under the directorship of Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs, The Central Band of the Royal Air Force, returned to form the centrepiece of the gala.
