The National Theatre’s award winning smash hit returns to the Lowry, following a previous sell out run.
The Lowry's biggest-selling show – the National Theatre’s UK tour of War Horse returns to the Salford venue next month.
The award-winning adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s beloved novel, will return for a nine-week run this summer from 23 July to 20 September. The cast of 35 actors and 23 puppets will perform a total of 70 performances during the 56-day run.
Chris Harper, producer of War Horse for the National Theatre, said: "We were overwhelmed by the enthusiastic reaction of audiences at The Lowry during our first visit with War Horse, and the entire company is excited to be returning to the North West this summer."
There will be a captioned performance 28 August, a signed performance on 6 September and an audio described performance on 13 September (all 2.30pm matinees).
There will also be a post-show Q&A with members of the creative team behind the show for ticket holders of the evening performance on 11 September.
The first run from November 2013 to January 2014 sold out. Following this second run at the Lowry, the show moves to Stoke-on-Trent and Bristol were the tour will end.
