Union Theatre to stage revival of Children of Eden

Stephen Schwartz’s musical will return to London 25 years after it first premiered in the capital

The new Union Theatre will stage a revival of Stephen Schwartz and John Caird's Children of Eden, 25 years after its original West End production.

Christian Durham (Taboo, UK Tour) will direct, with choreography by Lucie Pankhurst (The Stripper, St James) and design by Kingsley Hall (The Baker's Wife, Union). Casting is yet to be announced.

Inspired by the book of Genesis, Children of Eden explores what it means to be a parent.

Best known for the smash hit musical Wicked, Schwartz's other work includes Pippin and Godspell. Caird is best known for working with Trevor Nunn and the RSC to adapt and direct Les Misérables.

Children of Eden will run at the Union Theatre from 12 August to 10 September.
