Kristen Stewart, aka Bella from the Twilight vampire films, is the latest screen star reported to be keen to tread the boards in the West End. The 20-year-old American told Vogue magazine that she was inspired after seeing her friend, British stage and screen actor Eddie Redmayne, in John Logan’s Red at the Donmar Warehouse, prior to the two-hander’s Broadway transfer. Stewart said: “Unlike movie acting, you have to deliver the whole performance there and then. You live it every night.” Redmayne won an Olivier and has been nominated for his performance as painter Mark Rothko’s assistant in the world premiere play.
