Theo James to star in Sex With Strangers opposite Emilia Fox

The film star will take on his professional stage debut next year

Divergent film star Theo James is to make his professional stage debut at Hampstead Theatre next year.

James will join Emilia Fox in the UK premiere of Sex with Strangers in January. The actor plays Ethan, who gets trapped in a snowed-in B&B with Olivia (played by Fox).

James' other credits include Downton Abbey, The Inbetweeners Movie and You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

Directed by Peter DuBois, Laura Eason's play runs at Hampstead Theatre from 2 February to 4 March. DuBois returns to the theatre following Rapture Blister Burn also starring Fox.

Hampstead also announced the return of The Festival at Hampstead Theatre which features events with UK theatre figures including Mike Leigh, James Graham, Meera Syal and Freddie Fox.

The festival runs between 10 and 12 February.

Sex with Strangers runs at Hampstead Theatre between 2 February and 4 March, with previews from 27 January.
