The Jason Robert Brown show will have a number of outings this year
Theatre Royal Bath has unveiled further programming for 2025 and 2026.
The Barn Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath and Reading Rep co-production of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years will play in the Ustinov Studio from 25 November to 3 January as the venue’s festive revival.
The musical charts the story of a relationship through intersecting timelines, with cast and creative team to be revealed in due course. The Bath run follows seasons in Cirencester and Reading (with dates for the latter to be revealed).
Mathew Horne and Selina Cadell will reunite following their appearances in Jamie Lloyd’s staging of The Tempest for a new revival of Samuel Beckett’s Endgame, directed by Lindsay Posner. The show plays from 4 September to 4 October in the Ustinov Studio. A new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma, adapted by Ryan Craig, will run from 11 to 20 September in the Main House.
Other shows announced today include a transfer Tom Littler’s Orange Tree production of The Rivals (from 27 January) and the touring version of The Shawshank Redemption (from 2 February). Also in February, Sally Cookson will also direct and devise David Copperfield: A Life, based on the Charles Dickens play and penned by Mike Akers.
The venue has also revealed further casting for some of its 2025 productions.
