Olivia Vinall and Jonathan Hyde are part of the cast
Take a look inside rehearsals for Andrew Keatley’s The Gathered Leaves.
Set over Easter weekend in 1997, the play follows the Pennington family as they come together after 17 years apart to confront their past and seek a sense of reconciliation.
The piece is set to return to Park Theatre from 13 August to 20 September 2025, a decade after its original run. Adrian Noble, former artistic director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, directs.
Jonathan Hyde will play family patriarch William, with Joanne Pearce as his wife Olivia. Richard Stirling takes on the role of eldest son Samuel, joined by Chris Larkin as middle child Giles and Zoë Waites as Giles’ wife Sophie. George Lorimer, in his professional stage debut, will appear as their son Simon, with Ella Dale as their daughter Emily.
Olivia Vinall will play the youngest child, Alice, who returns to the family home with her teenage daughter Aurelia, played by Taneetrah Porter. Joe Burrell and Ellis Elijah, both making their professional debuts, complete the cast as young versions of Samuel and Giles.
The production features design by Dick Bird, lighting by Paul Pyant, sound by Max Pappenheim and casting by Gabrielle Dawes.
