The upcoming production will see Beddard starring alongside Bristol Old Vic Theatre School graduates
The Bristol Old Vic has released images offering a sneak peek into rehearsals of the upcoming production of The Elephant Man.
The piece stars Jamie Beddard, one of the UK's leading disabled theatre practitioners and Lee Lyford directs. The Elephant Man is inspired by the extraordinary true story of the Victorian with acute physical disfigurement. Bernard Pomerance's play looks at changes in perception in the story of Joseph Merrick who moves from city to city in a travelling freak show.
The amateur production is the latest collaboration between the Bristol Old Vic, Diverse City and the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School where professional actors perform alongside students from the school
