Marina Sirtis will star in the world premiere of Dark Sublime at Trafalgar Studios, it has been announced.

Exploring the idea of hero worship and the modern sci-fi phenomenon, the piece is penned by Michael Dennis (his debut play) and directed by Andrew Keates (As Is, Dessa Rose).

Dennis said: "This is a big story full of laughter, tears, and silver lamé spacesuits. I'm
looking forward to audiences experiencing the birth of a whole galaxy of real emotion and
radiophonic sound effects in Trafalgar Studios this summer."

Sirtis' credits include Star Trek: The Next Generation (where she played counselor / commander Deanna Troi), and she started her acting career as a member of the repertory company at the Connaught Theatre in Worthing.

She will be joined by Jacqueline King (Doctor Who), Simon Thorp (Hard Sun), Sophie Ward (Young Sherlock Holmes), and Kwaku Mills (good dog). As previously announced, Mark Gatiss will lend his voice to the show.

The show will run from 25 June to 3 August 2019, with tickets on sale now.
