Producer Sonia Friedman has been listed on Time magazine's list of the top 100 influential people of 2018.
The list, which is collated by staff at the magazine, looks at people "whose time is now" in this particular year. Time's Edward Felsenthal wrote it is not "a collection of milestones accumulated… we often find ourselves wowed by those with stunning lifetime achievements…but editorial director Dan Macsai, maestro of the Time 100, brings us back to the key question: Was this their year?"
James Corden provided the introduction to Friedman in the magazine, writing: "She understands people, what makes them tick. She has the ability to cut through."
Friedman produced, with Colin Callender, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child which has recently opened on Broadway. Previous shows include The Book of Mormon, Dreamgirls and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
The list also includes London Mayor Sadiq Khan, actor and film director Greta Gerwig, Millie Bobby Brown, Nicole Kidman, activist Tarana Burke, who founded MeToo and Oprah Winfrey who makes her ninth appearance on the list. Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un were also two of the leaders on the list.
