According to sources, Simon Callow's one-man show Being Shakespeare, in which he plays William Shakespeare, will play for a short period at the Harold Pinter Theatre from 24 February, taking over from Mojo which closes this week.

The show made its West End debut in 2011 following a tour from the Theatre Royal Plymouth and a month-long run at the Edinburgh Fringe. It returned to Trafalgar Studios for a 30 day run last year before transferring across the pond to New York.

Previously entitled Shakespeare – The Man from Stratford, the show has twice earned Callow a WhatsOnStage Award nomination for Best Solo Performance.

Further rumours suggest that a Trevor Nunn production will follow Being Shakespeare into the Harold Pinter Theatre for a 15 week run, although further details have not yet been announced.
