Scottsboro Boys to hold open auditions for West End run

The show, which is transferring following a successful Young Vic run last year, is looking for someone to play the part of Eugene

The upcoming West End transfer of The Scottsboro Boys is holding open auditions for the character of Eugene, taking place at the Pineapple Dance Studios on 28 July.

The actor required must be over 18, with a playing age of 13/14, African-American and 5'9" and under.

The successful auditionee will join the previously announced cast including Brandon Victor Dixon, Colman Domingo, Forrest McClendon, James T Lane and Julian Glover.

They will appear alongside Dawn Hope, Dex Lee, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, Richard Pitt, Emile Ruddock and Carl Spencer at the Garrick Theatre from 4 October 2014.

Directed and choreographed by five-time Tony Award winner Susan Stroman (The Producers and Bullets Over Broadway) The Scottsboro Boys is the final musical by John Kander and Fred Ebb, the creators of Chicago and Cabaret.
