
Sadler’s Wells has announced a jam-packed spring 2026 season.
The biennial Elixir Festival returns in April 2026, focusing on older performers and beginning with the UK premiere of Kontakthof – Echoes of ’78, a Sadler’s Wells, Pina Bausch Foundation and Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch co-production conceived by Meryl Tankard.
The festival also features the Company of Elders, work by John-William Watson and Charlotta Öfverholm, and a new solo from Louise Lecavalier.
Elsewhere, Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch presents Sweet Mambo at Sadler’s Wells Theatre, and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker returns with The Four Seasons, a collaboration with Radouan Mriziga inspired by the climate crisis.
Dada Masilo reimagines Hamlet through the eyes of Ophelia, while Shobana Jeyasingh’s We Caliban offers a new take on The Tempest.
Sadler’s Wells associate artist Wayne McGregor will present a new full-length world premiere created with students from Rambert School and Juilliard, while Rambert celebrates its centenary with a mixed bill including new commissions from (LA)HORDE and Emma Evelein.
BalletBoyz mark their 25th anniversary with Still Pointless: BalletBoyz at 25, and Russell Maliphant performs three solo works including In A Landscape. Paco Peña’s Solera also returns following previous acclaimed runs.
The Ballet with Attitude strand continues with Tiler Peck’s Turn It Out with Tiler Peck and Friends, English National Ballet presenting new works by Crystal Pite and Kameron N. Saunders and Scottish Ballet’s Mary, Queen of Scots choreographed by Sophie Laplane and James Bonas.
Northern Ballet brings Gentleman Jack, choreographed by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, while Carlos Acosta revives Don Quixote for Birmingham Royal Ballet. Matthew Bourne’s The Car Man also returns in summer 2026, as covered here.
At the Peacock Theatre, family programming includes English National Ballet’s My First Ballet: Cinderella and London Children’s Ballet’s Anne of Green Gables.
Other highlights include Alexander Whitley Dance Company’s reinterpretation of The Rite of Spring, a new collaboration between Michelle Dorrance and Ephrat Asherie, and the annual Breakin’ Convention hip hop festival hosted by Jonzi D.
National Youth Dance Company presents a new work by Sadé and Kristina Alleyne, while Alexandrina Yewande Hemsley’s Yewande 103 unveils Many Lifetimes in the Lilian Baylis Studio.
Newcomers BULLYACHE make their Sadler’s Wells debut with A Good Man is Hard to Find, selected by McGregor for the Venice Biennale.
MimeLondon returns with Gecko’s The Wedding and Compagnie le Fils du Grand Réseau’s BIGRE / Fish Bowl. The Peacock Theatre also welcomes the return of Tango After Dark, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, YAMATO’s Hito no Chikara, 360 ALLSTARS from Onyx Productions, the returning GODZ, and Stories – The Tap Dance Sensation.
Tickets go on sale to Sadler’s Wells patrons on 10 November, to “Rehearsal Members” on 12 November, members on 14 November and the general public on 17 November 2025.
