The show will have a spell at the Hampstead Theatre
The Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Titus Andronicus has revealed its full cast for its transfer to Hampstead Theatre.
Directed by Max Webster, the production will once more feature Simon Russell Beale returning in the title role. It opens in London on 5 September and runs until 11 October.
Following its run at the Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon (where it picked up a solid four-star review from WhatsOnStage), the production will be presented as part of Hampstead Theatre’s autumn season.
Starring in the cast are Emma Fielding, returning as Marcia Andronicus, and Wendy Kweh as Tamora. Ken Nwosu joins the company as Aaron, while Letty Thomas also returns to the role of Lavinia.
They are joined by Jeremy Ang Jones (as Demetrius), Max Bennett (Saturninus), Marlowe Chan-Reeves (Chiron), Danny Collins (Martius / Messenger), Maximus Evans (Quintus / Aemilius), Thomas Josling (Bassianus / Publius), Joel MacCormack (Lucius), Jerone Marsh-Reid (Alarbus / Leader of the Goths) and Sharita Oomeer (Nurse / Goth). The part of young Lucius is shared between Charlie Banks and Osian Salter.
The creative team features Joanna Scotcher (set and costume), Lee Curan (lighting), Matthew Herbert (composer), Tingying Dong (sound), Jade Hackett (movement), Rachel Bown-Williams and Ruth Cooper-Brown (fight and intimacy), and Matthew Dewsbury (casting). Kwame Owusu is revival director.
