The National Theatre’s hit production follows in the footsteps of Prima Facie

The West End transfer of the National Theatre production of Inter Alia officially opened at Wyndham’s Theatre last night and WhatsOnStage was on hand to celebrate the verdict.
Described as giving an “exhilarating performance” by our lead critic Sarah Crompton in a glowing review, Rosamund Pike reprises her role as Crown Court judge Jessica Parks in Suzie Miller’s play – a follow-up to the international success of the Jodie Comer-led Prima Facie and the second piece in a planned trilogy.
After the show, we caught up with Pike and Miller to chat about the dilemma at the drama’s epicentre and the question of morality versus legality. Pike also spoke candidly about whether a West End transfer was always on the cards for her and how the audience reactions played a big part in persuading her to revisit the challenging role of Jessica and give the show a further life.

Directed by Justin Martin, the cast also includes Jamie Glover as Michael Wheatley, Cormac McAlinden as Harry Wheatley, alongside ensemble members and understudies Thomas Michaelson, Luke Garner-Greene and Flora Dawson.
The play originally premiered at the National Theatre’s Lyttelton Theatre, where it ran from July to September 2025. During its initial run, the production was broadcast live as part of National Theatre Live and subsequently screened in cinemas internationally.
The creative team includes set and costume designer Miriam Buether, lighting designer Natasha Chivers, sound designers Ben and Max Ringham, video designer Willie Williams for Treatment Studio, composers Erin LeCount and James Jacob PKA Jakwob, casting directors Alastair Coomer and Naomi Downham, movement and intimacy director Lucy Hind, music director Nick Pinchbeck and associate director Grace Duggan.
Inter Alia runs at Wyndham’s Theatre until 20 June, with tickets on sale below.
