The National Theatre's River Stage kicked up a storm this weekend with dance company Rambert hosting a series of free workshops and performances at the temporary South Bank space.

Highlights of the weekend included A Linha Curva, Quicksilver and Patricia Okenwa's New Creation. There were also a series of workshops exploring different styles, tailor made for different generations.

The festival, which is free to the public, takes place throughout the summer and sees different arts and culture organisations take over the outdoor stage one weekend at a time. This year, WhatsOnStage is the festival's media partner.

This weekend will be curated by the National Theatre itself, including a free screening of their recent performance of Twelfth Night.
