Last night (18 September 2013) we took over 100 theatregoers to see Jamie Lloyd's production of The Pride at the Trafalgar Studios.

The Pride, which explores attitudes to homosexuality in the 1950s and present day, is the third production in Jamie Lloyd's Trafalgar Transformed season.

Philip (Harry Hadden-Paton), Oliver (Al Weaver) and Sylvia (Hayley Atwell) exist in a complex love triangle, which spans over half a century, living and loving simultaneously in 1958 and the present against a background of changing attitudes towards homosexuality. Past and present worlds grind together and melt apart, yet the future and its promise of sexual liberation remains ever elusive, as societal repression gives way to self-deception.

Following the show we were joined for a Q&A by cast members Hayley Atwell, Harry Hadden-Paton, Al Weaver and Mathew Horne, and associate director Edward Stambollouian.
