Owen Teale will star in an upcoming centenary production of Under Milk Wood, which tours venues across England following its opening in Wales.

The cast also includes Kai Owen (Torchwood) and Steven Meo (The Fabulous Baker Boys).

The English tour kicks off at York Theatre Royal on 12 April 2014, following a run at Clywd Theatre Cymru (6 February-8 March) and a Welsh tour.

Terry Hands' production celebrates the 100th anniversary of Dylan Thomas' birth, along with the 60th anniversary of Under Milk Wood‘s radio premiere by the BBC in 1954, the show’s first production.

Lyrically written, Thomas' book follows the story of blind Captain Cat, Polly Garter, Reverend Eli Jenkins, and No Good Boyo, who reside in a small Welsh village by the sea. The story has often been described as a "play for voices."

Game of Thrones star Owen Teale won a Tony Award for his performance in A Doll's House on Broadway and recently starred alongside Zoë Wanamaker in the West End revival of Passion Play by Peter Nichols.

The tour also visits Execter, Bath, Malvern, Liverpool, Plymouth, Birmingham, Croydon, Cheltenham, Brighton and Richmond.
