Orange Tree Theatre unveils starry 2025/2026 season

The Orange Tree Theatre has announced its 2025/2026 season, which includes six productions, three world premieres, two major revivals, and a classic comedy.

The season opens with a new adaptation of August Strindberg’s Creditors by Howard Brenton, directed by artistic director Tom Littler and featuring an all-star cast of Charles Dance, Nicholas Farrell and Geraldine James. It runs from 6 September to 11 October.

Next is the world première of Hedda by Tanika Gupta, inspired by Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler and directed by Hettie Macdonald. Pearl Chanda leads the cast in this new play set in post-war London. Performances run from 18 October to 22 November 2025.

The year concludes with The Rivals by Richard Brinsley Sheridan, directed by Littler. This 250th anniversary production runs from 29 November 2025 to 24 January 2026.

During the festive period, the OT Young Company presents Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, adapted by Chinonyerem Odimba and directed by Matt Hassall, from 18 to 22 December 2025.

In 2026, Richard Eyre directs his own adaptation of Strindberg’s Dance of Death, starring Lisa Dillon and Will Keen. The production runs from 31 January to 7 March 2026.

The season concludes with a new revival of Vincent in Brixton by Nicholas Wright, directed by Georgia Green and starring Niamh Cusack. Performances run from 14 March to 18 April 2026.
