Opening: The Ciggie Run, St Helens

St Helens’ Theatre Royal presents the premiere of its latest comedy this week.

The Ciggie Run has been written by John Evans, a taxi driver turned playwright, and directed by Sylvie Gatrill

The play tells the tale of three blokes who plan a ciggie run to “subsidise their income during a recession with hilarious consequences”.

The cast features former Brookside actor Louis Emerick, Ozzie Yue, from Come Fly With Me, local radio personality Kev Seed, comedian Micky Finn, and Frannie Bennett and Jodie Nesbitt.

The Ciggie Run runs from Thursday 3 February until Sunday 13 February.
