A Faithful to the end – and a host to boot!

Nick Mohammed will host the Olivier Awards in 2026, marking the 50th anniversary of the ceremony.
The event, presented with Cunard, will take place at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 12 April and will be broadcast on BBC television and radio.
Mohammed is a double Emmy-nominated actor, comedian and writer, known for playing Nate in the television series Ted Lasso. His screen work also includes Slow Horses and Intelligence, which he created, wrote and executive produced. He has also appeared widely across British and international television and film.
In 2025, Mohammed reached the final of the BBC series Celebrity Traitors. Alongside his screen work, he has performed live comedy in the West End and on tour across the UK, and is currently appearing in his show Show Pony.
Mohammed said: “To host the Oliviers in its 50th year is not only a dream come true but an absolute honour and privilege. I love it not only for the breadth of theatrical talent it celebrates, but also for the extraordinary variety of live performances it showcases on the night itself.
“While I will try to remain in the wings during these, I can’t promise I won’t be singing along (in full voice). But at least I won’t be on roller-skates this time!”
The Olivier Awards were established in 1976 to recognise achievement in London theatre. The nominees will be revealed this Thursday at midday.
