Conrad Nelson’s production opens in September
Northern Broadsides are touring a new production of The Winter's Tale later this year.
Directed by and starring Conrad Nelson (as Leontes), the production opens at Harrogate Theatre from 18 to 26 September 2015 and then tours until 28 November.
According to press material, the production opens on New Year's Eve in 1999. "What follows is a beautiful and beguiling love story where the cold hand of winter gives way to the brightness and vibrancy of spring."
Nelson is joined in the cast by Hannah Barrie, Jack Lord, Ruth Alexander, Vanessa Schofield, Jordon Kemp, Michael Hugo, Andy Cryer, Andrew Whitehead, Jessica Dyas, Lauryn Redding, Russell Richardson and Adam Barlow.
The tour will visit Oldham. Bury St Edmunds, Scarborough, Cheltenham, Huddersfield, Newcastle under Lyme, Lancaster, Liverpool and Halifax.
