Former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger is in "very early discussions" to play Grizabella in the upcoming revival of Cats at the London Palladium, according to Baz Bamigboye in the Daily Mail.

Scherzinger, who is best known for her work in music with the Pussycat Dolls and as a solo artist, and as a judge on The X Factor, majored in musical theatre at university, and has had small roles in various TV shows.

Last year, she sang "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" from Evita on an ITV show dedicated to Andrew Lloyd Webber. When on the One Show last month, she was quizzed on the subject, and almost let the cat out of the bag, although admitted that she didn't know the words to "Memory".

Cats will run for twelve weeks at the Lloyd Webber-owned London Palladium, opening on 6 December 2014 following its current UK tour.
