Tilted Wig in association with Watford Palace Theatre will present a UK tour of a new adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, adapted and directed by Seán Aydon, opening at Watford Palace Theatre on 1 October 2026.

Based on the novel by Oscar Wilde, the story follows Dorian Gray, who is offered eternal youth and beauty while a portrait of him bears the marks of his actions. As he pursues a life free from consequence, the cost of his choices becomes clear.

Seán Aydon directs the production. His previous touring work includes Spitfire Girls, The School for Scandal and Frankenstein.

The tour will visit Watford Palace Theatre from 1 to 3 October, Shakespeare North Playhouse from 7 to 10 October, Eastbourne Theatres from 13 to 17 October, Theatre by the Lake from 20 to 24 October, Theatre Clwyd from 27 to 31 October and Yvonne Arnaud Theatre from 3 to 7 November. Further venues are to be announced.

Casting is to be announced.
