The actress reveals the musical numbers she couldn’t live without
Lisa-Anne Wood grew up in Aberdeenshire, Scotland and moved to London to train at Guildford School of Acting.
Her theatre credits include Cosette in Les Miserables (Queen's Theatre), A Little Night Music (Yvonne Arnaud) and Steel Pier (Union). She is currently in Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre.
We caught up with Lisa-Anne and asked her: "If you were stranded on a desert island which five showtunes could you not live without?"
I am obsessed with this song and the entire musical. I spent most of my third year of college listening to it. I do wish it would hurry up and come to London so I can play Clara please!
I had to pick it! My first job and my first musical love. Les Miserables will always have a special place in my heart.
I saw this musical three times when I moved to London in 2007. I pestered my house mates for months belting it out from my bedroom. It brings out my Celtic roots. If you haven’t listened to it, do it now!
I feel very lucky to sing this song twice a week. In my opinion, it’s one of the greatest female musical songs of all time. It is a song about loss and it unites the audience and the performer in a beautiful expression of grief and letting go.
This song is everything; proper silly and fun!
