Mike Bartlett is premiering his new play in Oxford
Casting has been announced for Mike Bartlett's Snowflake, which has its world premiere at Oxford's Old Fire Station in December.
Olivier Award winner Bartlett's newest piece is a story about a generational conflict at Christmas time, and has direction by the award-winning director Clare Lizzimore, who he previously worked with on Bull. The piece has design by Jeremy Herbert (who has credits at National Theatre, Royal Court, Royal Opera House) and lighting by Jessica Hung Han Yun (Forgotten, The Human Voice).
Appearing in the show will be Elliot Levey (Mary Stuart, The Habit of Art) as Andy, Rachael Ofori (So Many Reasons, Pygmalion) as Natalie and Ellen Robertson (Britney, Nesting) as Maya.
The piece will run from 5 to 22 December and has been created especially for the venue, which has a major partnership with the homeless charity Crisis.
Bartlett is known for writing plays such as King Charles III and Albion, and has overseen TV shows including Doctor Foster and Trauma.
