The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced the full cast for its revival of Ryan Craig’s The Holy Rosenbergs, directed by Lindsay Posner.

Set in Edgware, the play follows the Rosenberg family as they face a series of personal and political crises. David is attempting to keep his catering business afloat, Lesley is trying to support her husband, and their daughter Ruth is under scrutiny following her work investigating war crimes in Gaza for the United Nations. The Holy Rosenbergs was first staged at the National Theatre in 2011.

The cast includes Dan Fredenburgh as Saul, Nitai Levi as Jonny, Adrian Lukis as Sir Stephen, Dorothea Myer-Bennett as Ruth, Tracy-Ann Oberman as Lesley, Nicholas Woodeson as David and Alex Zur as Simon. Design is by Tim Shortall, with lighting by Charles Balfour and sound by Yvonne Gilbert.

Following this production, Posner will return to the Menier Chocolate Factory to direct Peter Shaffer’s Equus in a co-production with Theatre Royal Bath. The Holy Rosenbergs opens on 9 March, with previews from 27 February, and will run until 2 May.
