Mass stage adaptation at Donmar Warehouse – rehearsal photos released

Rehearsal photos have been released of the cast of Mass.

Fran Kranz’s debut play is based on his 2021 film of the same name, following a set of grieving parents who meet to discuss a tragedy involving their sons.

The original film, with Martha Plimpton, Ann Dowd and Jason Isaacs, premiered at the 2021 Sundance Festival and won widespread acclaim.

The cast includes Adeel Akhtar, Amari Bacchus, Monica Dolan, Paul Hilton, Lyndsey Marshal, Rochelle Rose and Susie Trayling. They will be directed by Carrie Cracknell.

The creative team also features set and costume designer Anna Yates, composer Katrina Rose, lighting designer Guy Hoare, sound designer Donato Wharton, and casting director Lotte Hines.

Mass plays at Donmar Warehouse from 18 April to 6 June, with a press night on 29 April.
