Kerry Ellis to present radio show on musical theatre station Encore

West End actress and singer Kerry Ellis is to present her own radio show on the recently launched station Encore Radio.

Dedicated to musical theatre, the station runs 24 hours a day and is available online and on DAB radio.

Ellis is to present a weekly three hour show on a Saturday between 10am and 1pm, where she will be playing her favourite musical songs alongside tracks from her influences such as Barbra Streisand, Liza Minnelli, Celine Dione and Michael Ball.

Ellis' work on Broadway and the West End includes Elphaba in Wicked, Nancy in Oliver!, originating the role of Meat in We Will Rock You and Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady.

She is currently starring in new musical Murder Ballad on the West End.

Other presenters on Encore radio include Duncan James from pop band Blue and ex-Classic FM DJ Jamie Crick.
