Jamie Muscato to star in one-man musical

Jamie Muscato is to star in a new one-man musical, Stay Awake, Jake, as part of the Vault Festival next year.

The one-act musical by Tim Gilvin, was the winning show of the 2014 S&S Award and was given an abridged performance at the St. James Theatre last year.

Following a week’s development at Leicester Curve and an industry showcase at Leicester Square Theatre, Stay Awake, Jake will receive its full length premiere at the Vault Festival, Waterloo, from 3 – 7 February.

Muscato is currently playing Joe in Bend it Like Beckham. His previous theatre credits include House of Mirrors and Hearts (Arcola Theatre), Dogfight (Southwark Playhouse) and Rock of Ages (Shaftesbury Theatre).

The production will be directed by Matt Ryan with design by Lee Newby and musical direction by Jan Winstone.

Stay Awake, Jake runs in The Pit from 3 – 7 February 2016. Tickets on sale from January 4 2016.
