The ”Happy Valley” and ”War and Peace” star Norton appears in the new show at the Donmar Warehouse
Photos have been released showing James Norton, Imogen Poots, Malachi Kirby and Faith Alabi in rehearsals for Belleville with director Michael Longhurst (Amadeus).
Opening at the Donmar Warehouse next month, the show, written by Amy Herzog, is based on the life of a dysfunctional couple living in a bohemian idyll in central Paris.
The show is making its UK premiere after opening in Yale in 2011. It was nominated for two Drama Desk Awards in 2013, and Herzog was later named a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize.
The four-hander show stars James Norton (Happy Valley, War and Peace) as Zack, alongside Imogen Poots (Who's Afraid of Virgina Woolf?) as Abby. The cast is completed by Malachi Kirby (Black Mirror) and Faith Alabi (Trouble in Mind).
Belleville runs at the Donmar Warehouse from 14 December to 3 February, with previews from 7 December.
