The Hamilton star heads to the Royal Court
WhatsOnStage Award-winner Jamael Westman, renowned for his role in Hamilton, has been announced as the final addition to the cast of Imposter 22 at the Royal Court Theatre.
The production, a collaboration between Royal Court Theatre and Access All Areas, is penned by Molly Davies and directed by Hamish Pirie (who inspired the piece), with seven learning disabled and autistic co-creators who also perform in the piece.
Westman joins a company of Kirsty Adams, Cian Binchy, Housni Hassan (DJ), Dayo Koleosho, Stephanie Newman, Lee Phillips and Charlene Salter. Anna Constable will also perform as an alternate to Stephanie Newman.
A whodunnit caper, Imposter 22 emerges after five years of crafting in workshops. The play is set to run from 23 September to 14 October, with a press night scheduled for 29 September. To cater to the sensory needs of neurodivergent audience members, every performance of the piece is relaxed.
