Ira Levin’s thriller will embark on a national tour for the first time in 20 years
Jessie Wallace and Paul Bradley will star in a UK tour of Ira Levin's Tony-nominated thriller Deathtrap, opening in Brighton in September.
Wallace is best known for playing Kat Slater in EastEnders and was last seen on stage in a tour of Chicago. Bradley played Elliot Hope in Holby City for 10 years and has stage credits including The Relapse at the National Theatre and Romeo and Juliet at the Young vic.
Directed by Adam Penford (The Boys in the Band), Levin's play is about a writer in the grip of writer's block when he is sent a whodunit by a young playwright. Desperate to become the talk of Broadway, he invites the young playwright to his remote home – with the only other copy of the play.
