The work in progress musical opens at The Other Palace this week
We popped into rehearsals for The Little Beasts, a work-in-progress musical by Luke Bateman and Michael Conley which opens at The Other Palace this week.
The show, which is aimed at children aged seven and above, follows a girl who runs away from home and discovers a magical menagerie filled with animals that used to be children before their naughtiness brought them to untimely ends.
Presented by new musical organisation Perfect Pitch, Little Beasts has music by Bateman, book and lyrics by Conley, and is directed by Jamie Hinde.
Laura Baldwin plays Sam alongside Sebastien Torkia (The Wild Party) as the Man in Black. They are joined by Nina Bell, Oliver Evans, Tyler Fagan and Seyi Omooba.
The Little Beasts runs at The Other Palace until 29 July.
