The five-star show played in Birmingham, Edinburgh and London

The creators of the award-winning Hot Mess will release the show’s original cast recording on Friday 12 December, following a year in which the musical played at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Southwark Playhouse Elephant.
The album features 13 tracks from Jack Godfrey and Ellie Coote’s piece, performed by Danielle Steers and Tobias Turley in the roles of Earth and Humanity. It presents the full score that has accompanied the musical’s development through its premiere at Birmingham Hippodrome and subsequent runs in Edinburgh and London.
Godfrey and Coote said today: “We’re absolutely over the moon to be releasing the original cast recording of Hot Mess. It’s been a joy to work with world-class collaborators Joe Beighton and Sam Featherstone to produce the record and capture the unbelievable vocal performances of Danielle Steers and Tobias Turley. After the incredible reaction to Hot Mess this year at the Edinburgh Fringe, in Birmingham and London, we can’t wait for more people to discover the love story of Earth and Humanity through this album.”
The recording includes contributions from co-orchestrators Joe Beighton and Godfrey, with album production led by Aria Entertainment, TRW Production, Global Creative, Beighton and Vicky Graham for Hot Mess Music Ltd. Sam Featherstone served as recording and mix engineer, with mastering by Ste Kerry and sound design by Paul Gatehouse. Session musicians include Shelley Britton, Pete Hunt, Richard Jones, Jennymay Logan, Dom Pecheur and Kobi Pham, with Absolute Label Services handling distribution.
The Hot Mess cast album is available on major streaming platforms from Friday 12 December.
