The Barn Theatre in Cirencester has announced the cast and creative team for its production of Honk!, the musical by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. Directed by Ryan McBryde, the show runs from 21 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with a press performance on 25 November.

Based on The Ugly Duckling, Honk! follows Ugly, a duckling who is teased for looking different from his siblings and friends. After becoming lost and finding himself in danger, he embarks on an unprecedented journey. The musical won the Olivier Award for Best Musical and has been staged more than 8,000 times worldwide.

WhatsOnStage Award winner Timi Akinyosade will play Ugly, alongside Molly Cheesley, Claire-Marie Hall, Maz McGinlay, Nikki Biddington, Silas Wyatt-Barke, Daniel Robinson and Joseph Claus.

Four places are also available in the production’s young company for local performers playing Ducklings and Froglets. Auditions will take place at the Barn Theatre on 24 October, with rehearsals beginning on 26 October. The paid roles are open to young performers of all genders and appearances with singing, acting and dance skills. The creative team is to be revealed.
