Ellen McDougall’s production opens at West Yorkshire Playhouse
Headlong has announced a new production of Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie, which will play in Leeds, Liverpool, Richmond and Warwick.
Directed by Ellen McDougall, the revival is a co-production between Headlong with West Yorkshire Playhouse , where it opens with a run from 12 September to 3 October 2015, and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse.
Headlong artistic director Jeremy Herrin, who has also announced that the company's production of 1984 is returning to the West End, said: "I'm delighted that 2015 at Headlong will see us engaging
with audiences all over the country and around the world.
"We continue to give regional audiences the best in contemporary work by a new generation of
theatre-makers, with the brilliant Ellen McDougall's The Glass Menagerie."
The production will be designed by Fly Davis with lighting by Richard Howell, sound by Gareth Fry and video design by Ian William Galloway.
Casting is still to be announced.
