Actress and former politician Glenda Jackson is to portray the poet Stevie Smith in the return of the Print Room's series Dead Poets Live.

Jackson originally portrayed Smith on screen in the 1978 film Stevie, based on Hugh Whitemore's play, and she will read the role of the poet on 24 September. Two other Dead Poets Live events are programmed as part of the series, the details for which are yet to be announced.

Elsewhere in the Print Room programme the theatre will host the transfer of Bath Ustinov Studio's productions of Trouble in Mind between 14 September and 14 October, and the UK premiere production of Will Eno's The Open House which will run between 18 January and 17 February 2018.

The theatre will also stage Winter's Tales, where a selection of seasonal stories will be offered to children and families. The Coronet International Festival will also take place in spaces around the Print Room through November.
