Get your Fringe Fix at Underbelly Soho this September!

For the second year running, Underbelly Soho (run by major UK-based live entertainment company Underbelly, known by many for their huge purple cow who appears at Fringe every year, amongst other places!) have handpicked a cracking selection of shows they think you’ll love from this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe and brought them to Soho for one big post-Fringe party.

Last year’s programme featured shows from the likes of Fringe 2025 favourites Laura Benanti, Jess Robinson, Milo Edwards, Andrew Frost, Joe Tracini. This year, the selection is just as juicy!

Headlining the season is Woody Sez: The Life & Music of Woody Guthrie, which tells the story of “the original folk hero” Woody Guthrie’s fascinating, defiant, wildly prolific life and all-too-relevant career. Brought to life by four multi-talented actor-musicians playing more than a dozen instruments, this simple and beautiful show “knocks the big West End biopics in a heap of dust!” (The Guardian). Catch it from 8 to 19 September only.

Another unmissable show is 2ShoulderPads: GALAXY TRAIN (2 September). All the way from Japan, it’s been taking Fringe by storm this year (on top of a stellar run last year too!). A poetic musical inspired by Japanese classical literature, the male performers wear only two shoulder pads as their costume – playful, never sexual. We’ll leave it at that. Step in the strange and chaotic mind of Ted Hill. He’s always been weird, but now he has a new puzzle to solve: what kind of weird does he want to be? You’ll never see a sillier slideshow… Ted Hill: PowerPoindexter (12 September) is a “genuinely hilarious” (Broadway Baby) show from “one of the funniest acts we’ve had on Britain’s Got Talent” (Simon Cowell).

Join the UK’S premier kinky opera duo for a haunting that will tear down the opera house and transport you through time! Operotica: Lovers in Every Lifetime (22 and 23 September) is opera like you’ve never seen it before.

Diana: The Untold and Untrue Story (25 and 26 September) welcome you to join Diana in heaven for a loving celebration of Ar Di that is as hilarious as it is ridiculous. From Awkward Prods, the duo behind Gwyneth Goes Skiing, Linus Karp Was Hit With An Umbrella and The Fit Prince (who gets switched on the square in the frosty castle the night before (insert public holiday here)) – this promises to be an “absurd, camp, chaotic and hilarious” (Attitude) show.
