Back for another haunting!

Casting has been confirmed for Mark Gatiss’ adaptation of A Christmas Carol.
The Nottingham Playhouse production of Charles Dickens’ classic returns to Alexandra Palace for its third festive season.
A Christmas Carol – A Ghost Story will play from 21 November 2025 to 4 January 26. An official opening will take place on 26 November.
Adam Penford will direct Neil Morrissey as Jacob Marley, while Matthew Cottle will return as Scrooge.

They will be joined by Charlotte Bate as Mrs Cratchit, Michaela Bennison as Caroline, Jacob Daniels as swing, Henry Davis as Bob Cratchit, Maya de Faria as Swing, Elliot Douglas as Tiny Tim, Michael Mears as the Narrator, Kalifa Taylor as Belle, Mark Theodore as the Ghost of Christmas Present, and Lance West as Fred.
Gatiss said: “I’m delighted that our Carol is returning once more to the Pally! I’m thrilled to welcome Neil Morrissey into this very happy Christmas family. God bless us. Everyone.”
Morrissey added: “I am thrilled to be taking on the role of Jacob Marley in Mark Gatiss’ fantastic adaptation of this evergreen Dickens classic. A real spooky treat for Christmas, and even better at the wonderful Alexandra Palace, which is my local theatre.”
Completing the creative team are designer Paul Wills, lighting designer Philip Gladwell, sound designer Ella Wahlström, video designer Nina Dunn, movement director Georgina Lamb and composer Tingying Dong. It is produced by Eleanor Lloyd and Eilene Davidson.
