Full cast joining Nicola Walker in The Unbelievers at the Royal Court announced

The Royal Court Theatre has revealed the full cast for The Unbelievers.

Nick Payne’s play is one of four world premieres being presented as part of artistic director David Byrne’s season. You can read more about the season here.

Nicola Walker will star as a mother facing the disappearance of her teenage son. Described as a “startling portrait of motherhood, faith, family – and the lengths we go to for those we refuse to forget.” Directed by Marianne Elliot, the piece is a co-production with Playful Productions.

Joining Walker will be Esh Alladi, Alby Baldwin, Paul Higgins, Ella Lily Hyland, Harry Kershaw, Martin Marquez, Lucy Thackeray, and Isabel Adomakoh-Young.

Completing the creative team will be Bunny Christie (design), Jack Knowles (lighting design), Nicola T Chang (composer and sound designer), and Etta Murfitt (movement direction). Casting is by Charlotte Sutton.

The Unbelievers will run in the Jerwood Theatre Downstairs space from 10 October to 29 November, with a press night set for 20 October.
