The production marks the first time the show has been staged at the much-loved venue
The full company has been confirmed for Hamlet at Chichester Festival Theatre’s Minerva space.
The production, directed by Justin Audibert, will be the venue’s first staging of Shakespeare’s play. It runs from 6 September to 4 October.
As already revealed, award-winning star Giles Terera plays the title role. Joining him are Ariyon Bakare as Claudius, Keir Charles as Polonius, Ryan Hutton as Laertes, Eve Ponsonby as Ophelia and Sara Powell as Gertrude. Tim Preston and Jay Saighal play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern respectively, with Sam Swann as Horatio and Ozzy Aigbomian making his professional debut as Fortinbras.
The cast also includes David Angland as Osric, Geoff Aymer as Old Hamlet and the Player King, Nana Amoo-Gottfried as Marcellus, Simon Darwen as Barnardo, Beatie Edney as Baptista and the first gravedigger, and Nick Howard-Brown as Voltemand.
Design is by Lily Arnold, with lighting by Ryan Day, sound by Ed Clarke, movement by Lucy Cullingford, and fight direction by Cristian Cardenas. Casting is by Matilda James.
