Full casting has been announced for the national tour of Michael Cabot's Waiting for Godot, which opens in Shrewsbury in September.

The cast includes Jonathan Ashley (Pozzo), Peter Cadden (Vladimir), Richard Heap (Estragon), Michael Keane (Lucky) and Sonja Zobel (A Boy).

The production, which follows a successful tour of Alan Ayckbourn's Absent Friends and is directed by Michael Cabot with design by Bek Palmer, is part of London Classic Theatre’s 15th anniversary season.

Samuel Beckett‘s 60-year-old play is an anarchic meditation on the meaning of life and death. Part allegory, part burlesque, Beckett's play moves between absurdist comic sketch and captivating philosophical drama.

Waiting for Godot tours to 37 venues around the UK this autumn, starting at Theatre Severn, Shrewsbury on 9 September. Click here for full tour venue listings.
