Broadway stars are joining the concert of Sondheim’s musical
Full casting has been announced for the upcoming Follies in Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 28 April.
Broadway stars Betty Buckley and Lorna Luft will join the previously announced cast which includes Christine Baranski and Ruthie Henshall.
Also announced today are Charlotte Page, Peter Polycarpou, Amy Ellen Richardson and Jos Slovick, as well as ensemble members Sarah Bakker, CJ Field, Jennifer Davison, Emily Warner, Lucy James and Luke Fetherstone.
Completing the cast of Craig Revel Horwood's production are Alistair Brammer, Anita Dobson, Alexander Hanson, Anita Harris, Roy Hudd, Laura Pitt-Pulford, Stefanie Powers and Russell Watson.
The show, which is choreographed by WhatsOnStage Award-winner Andrew Wright and supported by the City of London Philharmonic Orchestra, will play a matinee and evening performance.
Celebrating composer Stephen Sondheim's 85th birthday year, the concert will feature the show's songs including "Losing My Mind" and "Broadway Baby".
Set in a crumbling old Broadway theatre scheduled for demolition, Follies sees two couples, Buddy and Sally Durant Plummer and Ben and Phyllis Rogers Stone, look back over their relationships during a reunion.
