You have seen the flyers and posters all over Manchester. It’s the 3D Event of the year, no not Twilight, Shrek 4 or Toy Story 3; this is 24:7 – the fringe theatre festival which takes over Manchester’s arts scene for one week every Summer. This year’s programme features everything from bees to sheep. We spoke to Kathryn Worthington to get her five reasons to see 24:7.

1. Human Nature

All human nature is here (including sheep)

2. Variety
There’s something for everyone – ten fresh and original one hour dramas, performed in full 3-D by flesh and blood actors. Ignore the blockbusters for the evening and enjoy an experience that will engage your brain, not just hurt your eyes.

3. Manchester
Manchester doesn’t do boring – the city’s innovative, rebellious and poetic spirit is alive and well at the 24:7 Theatre Festival.

4. See things first
You’ll be the first to see the best new writing for stage emerge from under the radar.

5. Bargain Prices
Three new plays in an evening for less than £25 – bargain!

24:7 runs in Manchester from 26th July – 1st August. For more details, please visit the 24:7 website.
