John Partridge stars in the touring production of Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman’s musical
Images have been released of the tour of La Cage aux Folles starring John Partridge, Adrian Zmed and Marti Webb.
The production opened at the New Oxford Theatre on 5 January and will tour throughout the UK until the end of August.
Partridge plays the role of Albin, who is star drag act Zaza at La Cage Aux Folles nightclub. Zmed will play Georges the partner of Albin, owner of the nightclub who has to cover up his vibrant lifestyle at a meeting between him and his son's soon-to-be father-in-law. Marti Webb will play Jacqueline, friend to Albin and Georges.
The musical is written by Harvey Fierstein and Jerry Herman and is based on the 1973 French play of the same name.
La Cage aux Folles runs at Dublin Bord Gais Energy Theatre until 14 January and then tours the UK until 26 August.
