Images have been released showing the cast of Uncle Vanya in rehearsals ahead of opening at the St James Theatre next month.
John Hannah makes his return to the stage following a six year absence, and is joined in the cast by Amanda Boxer (Speed Twins, Relative Values), Buffy Davis (School for Scandal, Hedda Gabler), Joe Dixon (Threeway, The Orphan of Zhao), Alan Francis (Cul-de-Sac, Alan Francis: Expands), Jack Shepherd (Home, Master Builder), Rebecca Night (A Flea in Her Ear, The Grapes of Wrath). and Amanda Hale (The Nether, The Domino Heart),
Anya Reiss' adaptation of Chekhov's classic, the second production in the Open Stage season, runs at the theatre from 8 October to 8 November and is directed by Russell Bolam and produced by Emily Dobbs.
